Processed Drama Programme by a professional theatre group
Crea-Shakthi is a theatre group committed to the cause of taking the craft to the next generation and are perhaps the first theatre group in the country to successfully integrate Dramatics into the mainstream curriculum. The Processed Drama Program designed and conducted by Crea-Shakthi for the IB-I as mandatory course and optional for Gr 6 -10 is is conducted over a period of 16 weeks every Friday from 3.00pm – 4.00pm. The programme aims at improving concentration, focus, imagination, thinking, voice modulation, body language, public speaking skills and language. It also aims at an understanding of the concepts of basic stage craft and theory, script writing and appreciation, specific forms of theatre like puppetry, mime and movement based on FunLearning. Students learn how to be part of group activities and how to be expressive and understand and analyze emotions of self and others.
